This feature is available on iOS and Android versions 1.8 and above. If you can't see it, please ask your organisation or team admin to turn on the feature in the StaySafe hub - Here

Any lone worker who spends time at the wheel driving, cars, forklifts or any other vehicle, can use driving mode while running a session.

Driving mode suppresses all notifications and reminders from the StaySafe app, allowing you to focus while at the wheel.

Activating Driving Mode

Start Session

To begin, all you need to do is tap on ‘Start Session’ in the app.

Active Driving Mode

Once in a session, select Driving to initiate driving mode.

Set Timer

You will be asked to estimate how long your drive will last.

Note: Always add extra time to accommodate for traffic

Add Notes

You will then be asked to add a note, your company can decide if this is optional or mandatory, but it is a good idea to write a brief description of where you are and where you are going.

Once you have left any notes, you will enter into driving mode.

Alerts While in Driving Mode

Panic

If you need to trigger an alert, press and hold the panic button for 4 seconds, look for the white border and when the circle completes, the alarm will trigger.

Check-ins

While in Driving Mode, check-ins will be suspended and you will not receive any reminders from the app.

Session Expiry

You cannot set a driving session for longer than your overall session, If you need to, you can extend your session to allow for a longer driving session.

Driving Mode Expiry

If your Driving Mode expires, an alert will be triggered in the StaySafe hub and your responders will be informed.

End your Driving Session

When you have safely arrived at your destination you can end your driving session and return to your original session, please hold the "Stop" button for 4 seconds, until the highlighted circle completes for the driving session to end
