Response Procedures are instructions that your Responders should follow when responding to an Alarm. They will help the Responder verify whether an Alarm is genuine or not, and how to Escalate the Alarm if it is genuine.

Having a straightforward procedure to follow is important for a self-monitored organisation. In the event of an emergency, the responders will know what to do.

Accessing Response Procedures

Depending on your access, you can set up Response Procedures on both an Organisational and Team level.

Organisation Level

Go to Organisation > Response Procedure to access the procedure. Select Edit to make any changes.

Team Level

Go to Teams > select Team > Response Procedure. Select Edit to make any changes. If you want this to override the Organisation setting for this Team, select Enable and Override Organisation Procedure.

Editing Response Procedures

When in the Response Procedures tab, you can edit the blank procedure through the Edit button on the top right-hand side of the screen.

Here you can copy your Procedure, or write one from scratch. You can use our tools to highlight the appropriate information, and link to documents outside of StaySafe. We recommend using a flowchart or bullet points, rather than reading long paragraphs, so Responders can quickly react to an Alarm.

Once you have made your changes, click Save to set them live.
