If you are in trouble and being told by someone to cancel an alert, or end your session, but you still require help, you can use the Duress PIN. This will let your responders know that you need assistance, without it showing in the app.

You can use the Duress PIN at any point in the app that requires you to enter your PIN. For example, when you check-in, extend or end a session, or when cancelling an alert, all you need to do is enter your Duress PIN instead of your Safe PIN. Any alert or session will be closed in the app, but, your responders will be sent an alert.

This is useful if you are being asked to end or cancel your session, but do not feel safe and wish to raise the alarm discreetly.

Setting up your Duress PIN

The Duress PIN can only be active if you use a Safe PIN to confirm your actions, and do not have Biometrics or Face ID available.

Go to Settings

Select the section named 'Settings' with a gear in the centre of your app's homepage.

Go to Duress PIN

Once on your Settings page, select Set Duress Pin

Set your PIN

You will then be asked to enter your Safe PIN, once entered you can then set your Duress PIN

Note: make sure that your Duress PIN is different from your Safe PIN, so you don't get them mixed up
