Download the App

You can download the StaySafe app, from either the App Store or Google Play.

Just search for 'StaySafe Lone Worker' or click on the links below.

Setting Up your PIN

Once downloaded, you will need to login using the details you setup when you activated your StaySafe account.

You will need to set up your Safe PIN, which will be used to check-in and confirm alerts. It also allows your employer to confirm that it is you, and not a potential attacker. It is very important to set your Safe PIN to something memorable.

You will be asked to confirm your PIN twice, before you can move on.

Setting Permissions

The app requires certain permissions to function properly. If you don't allow them or if you change them later, the app will not work.

Location

We need to access your location, so that in incase of an emergency, we can send your most recent location to your employer (and if necessary, the emergency services) and get you help as quickly as possible.

We only access your location during an active session, and do not track or record it at any other time.

Please select 'Allow while using the app' or 'Allow Always' otherwise the app might not function correctly.

Notifications

We need to send you notifications to remind you when to check-in or when your session is about to expire. Outside a session, we will not send you any notifications that you have not setup yourself.

Please allow 'Alerts, Sounds and Icon badges' for the app to work properly.

SMS Text Messages

If your organisation uses low-signal mode, we will need access to your SMS text messages to contact you when data reception is poor.

In-app training

The first time you login, you will be required to complete some in-app training. This is mandatory, and you will not be able to skip it. It will simulate a session, and teach you how to use the app's main features.

Once completed, you can access the training at any time in the app by going to the '?' button on your homepage.
