Helping you to stay safe is not our only priority, we also want your data to stay safe! This is why StaySafe Hub users can now enable two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security when accessing their Hub.

Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA, is an extra layer of protection used to ensure the security of online accounts beyond just a Username and Password. This makes your data with us more secure, and less vulnerable to hacking.

Setting Up 2FA

Two Factor Authentication is only available to Hub Users, not those using the app, and isn't available if you are using Single Sign-On. Follow the steps below to setup your account.

Step 1: Authenticator App

To use 2FA, you will need an authentication app installed on your phone, such as Authenticator from Google. These allow a unique code to be generated every time you login that must be entered alongside your password, giving you an extra layer of security.

You can download the Authenticator app for Android or iPhone here.

Step 2: Access Security

You will need to log into the StaySafe Hub and access the Security option in your Profile Tab located in the bottom left of the hub.

Then, you should check the Enable Two Factor Authentication box.

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

Once you have selected Enable Two Factor Authentication, a QR code box will appear.

You should then go to your Authentication app and scan the QR code.

Step 4: Verify

Verify your Authentication code. This will have been generated by scanning the QR code. You can enter this in the box below the QR Code.

Then, select Save, and 2FA will be active for your account.

Removing 2FA

You can remove 2FA at any time from your account by going to the Profile icon on the bottom left of the page. Select Security > un-check Enable Two Factor Authentication > select Save.

If you are locked out of your account because you have lost access to your 2FA, your Organization or Team Admin can disable it for you.

They simply need to go to your User profile and select Disable 2FA on the page's top-left corner.
