iOS devices allow shortcuts to the Staysafe app that can be assigned to Siri, back tap, or even a handy widget on your home screen. The panic shortcut enables you to quickly raise an alarm while using another app, or even if your device screen is locked.

To place the panic shortcut on your iOS device, please follow the link below and select "Get Shortcut" or point your device camera at the QR code, and select the "Shortcut" option that appears onscreen.

Once downloaded, the shortcut will be sent to the shortcut folder on your device.

Almost all of StaySafes features can be assigned to a shortcut, for a more detailed list please see this document with QR codes attached - iOS Shortcuts.pdf

Once the shortcut has been downloaded and Siri is enabled, the phrase "Hey Siri, Panic" will trigger an alarm in the app. Siri can be activated while using another app or while the phone is locked.

TIP: If you do not have Siri always enabled, you need to hold down the power button for Siri to be activated.

Assistive Touch

Assistive Touch is a floating widget that is always available on the home screen, while using other apps and even if the phone is locked,

To enable Assistive Touch, go to: Settings > Accessibility > Assistive Touch

Make sure the Assistive Touch toggle is in the on position and then assign the panic shortcut to a Single Tap, Double Tap or Long Press of the widget.

Once you have assigned the panic shortcut to one of these options then the appropriate single tap, double tap or long press of the widget will trigger an alarm in the app.

The assistive touch widget will appear on the home screen as a white dot with a black border as in the image below. The widget is always visible, and can be easily moved to your preferred location on the screen.
