The V. BTTN is a wearable Bluetooth button that can be paired with your phone and can be used to trigger actions in the StaySafe app.

Once you have Connected your V. BTTN to the StaySafe app, you can adjust the settings to make it work for you. You can access the configurations of your V. BTTN in the app and assign functions to the button actions. You can also customise how you interact with your V.BTTN.

Accessing your V.BTTN's Settings

Go to Settings

Select the section named 'Settings' with a gear in the centre of your app's homepage.

Go to Configure Buttons

Once on your Settings page, select Configure Buttons

Select Registered Button

Tap on the V.BTTN under registered button.

NOTE: you must have already connected your V.BTTN to the StaySafe app in How to Connect your V. BTTN to StaySafe

Adjust your settings

You are now in the settings page, and can disconnect, delete or change your V.BTTN's settings.

Changing your settings

Once you are in the V.BTTN's settings, you can assign app functions such as panic or check-in to two different button actions as either a single click or hold.

Disconnect

If you want to disconnect the V.BTTN for a period of time, without deleting the connection, you can do so in this section.

On an IOS device, just tap Disconnect under Control. And on an Android device, tap on the connection symbol in the top left-hand side of the screen.

Single Click

Just tap on Single Click under Configure Actions, and select a command to assign to the action

Hold

Just tap on Hold under Configure Actions, and select a command to assign to the action. To avoid false alerts, we recommend assigning check-in to single click and panic to hold.

To use the hold action, make sure you press and hold the button for at least

4 seconds. Upon release, the button will beep and flash to indicate that your alert has

successfully been triggered.

If your V. BTTN is connected to the StaySafe app, you will always be able to trigger the Panic without starting a session. Please note that the V. BTTN will not work when the app is closed by the user.

Device Settings

You can choose whether you would like to receive sound and/or LED confirmations when you use any of the button actions.

Fall Detection

When enabled, the V. BTTN will trigger an alert if the device detects a fall or impact. This feature will only work when you are running an active session and is enabled by default.

Fall Detection is relatively power hungry, and enabling it could reduce the battery life of your V. BTTN.

Battery Level

You will be able to see the battery level of your V.BTTN. We recommend that you replace the battery once it reaches 10%.

The V.BTTN battery is easy to replace. Unscrew the button and replace the

dead battery with a standard CR2032 battery, which you can find in most stores.
