Fall Detection is the latest feature from the StaySafe team. Initially, it will be offered to a select number of customers as a Beta launch. If you want to be one of the first organisations to try it out, please click here to register your interest.

If a lone worker suffers an impact event resulting from a fall, an alert will be raised in the hub for the monitor. Falls indicate a risk of significant harm, so a responder can make a welfare check to ensure the lone worker is okay.

How Does it Work?

Fall detection registers an impact event and then determines whether a lone worker has fallen based on several variables (and with consideration of metrics). If they have fallen, an alarm will be triggered to alert responders.

Once turned on in your hub, Fall detection will need to be set up in the StaySafe App.

The default setting is High impact, and for most people, this will not need to be adjusted. However, there are three impact settings to choose from:

  • Moderate

  • High

  • Fall From Height

Are there any limitations?

We worked hard to make Fall Detection as robust as possible. However, StaySafe cannot detect all falls and should be used in conjunction with Non-Movement where possible. Results will vary based on the user’s physique, the make and model of the device, and how it is carried.
