Our thoughts are with all those affected by COVID 19, and our focus is on the health and wellbeing of our people, clients, suppliers and communities.

We have made preparations across our business to manage our resilience and the services we deliver to our clients through this period of extended uncertainty.

Currently, COVID-19 is having minimal impact on the services delivered by our business and that of our immediate partners. We are taking the latest general government guidance https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19, and we’ve also looked at how we will mitigate any potential impact on us, and our clients should the position worsen.

Our business is built to be resilient to a range of potential interruptions. This also makes us resilient when dealing with a threat such as COVID-19:

  • Core service delivery. Our day to day core service delivery is automated mainly with the infrastructure based on AWS Cloud infrastructure. Our team that supports the infrastructure is home-based and operate from home offices. There is also a built-in cover, so we are not reliant on a single individual to carry out any core functions.

  • Customer success team. Our customer success team (responsible for supporting our clients) was office-based and has now moved to work from home. We can run all of their services remotely. All their support systems are cloud-based and accessed over a VPN.

What we are Doing

Training

Most of our training is carried out by Webex or using the new in-app training now available. We have now eliminated all face to face training based on the latest advice.

Development

Our development team are all home-based. All team meetings will be held over conference facilities until the position improves.

  • Sales. The sales team is now carrying out all their sales activities over the phone and Webex. Fortunately, we have traditionally done a lot of our international business and some of our UK business this way, so the team has the technology and practised doing this.

  • Our supply chain. Our supply chain and key suppliers have been reviewed, and we have made arrangements to ensure the provision of services critical to our business.

  • Travel and Events. We have restricted all but essential travel and have cancelled all external events. All internal meetings are being carried out over Webex.

  • Working capital. Having just carried out successful fundraising, we are in a good position regarding working capital. As our services are all subscription-based, we also have a solid and predictable future revenue stream.

General

We advise all staff to follow Public Health England (PHE) recommendations to avoid potential infection.

We will continue to monitor the situation, but we believe that the structure of our business and the way our services are delivered combined with the measures we are taking minimises the potential of any interruption of service to our clients.

Our commitment is to support and work with you throughout this period of uncertainty, and please do get in touch with us at support@staysafeapp.com.
